"I find the strength in myself."
✦
Hi + Hello
Happy Week 22! It’s June and it does not quite feel like it. That said, shout out to the sunny warmer days to come. Perhaps summer vacations are booked, or the very least, we’ve got our eye on some fun events to attend in the coming months, but in either case, it’s a good time to get fun on the calendar!

🔧 Tips, Tricks, and Tidbits
Find ways in invest in yourself. You are your greatest asset and prioritizing your personal growth, health, and development strengthens the foundation that supports your goals, relationships, and future success. The time, energy, and resources you put into yourself today compound over time, good, bad, or otherwise. Small investments in your growth can create meaningful changes in how you think, feel, work, and show up in the world. What about yourself do you want to be different a year from now? Take a small step toward that today, or this week. If you do it consistently for that time period, you might be surprised just how far you’ve come by consistently investing in yourself in that small way.

😏 Unrelated Musings
It’s time for me to hang it up. At least temporarily. I’m talking about the gossip blogs. There’s only two that I actually look at with regularity, and recently, the end feelings aren’t as fun as they used to be. I used to oogle at what goes on over yonder and not make any unnecessary connections to my own life, but lately, that’s not been the case. I don’t look on with envy - I don’t think many folks are featured in ‘good’ ways - but I look on and then have questions for my own life and appearance and existence, not in ‘good’ ways. I often think about what I’d advise others in this case and it would be to take some time from the trigger and replace that enjoyment with something else. And so, for the month of June, maybe I will. When I get the urge to find out what’s happening in the toxic world of celebrities, perhaps I’ll write about what’s happening in my own non-toxic world. Or, I’ll read about it in other ways, like through some writers on Substack whose voices and perspective I really enjoy. That’s a slippery slope of it’s own doing - those writers are so darn good! - but at least it’s a bit aspirational, I can feel like I’m learning something of substance, and overall, it feels less icky. Or I’ll watch a tv show or listen to an album that does make me feel good or read a book or work on this app I’m trying to put out there! There are options! But the main thing is to opt out of the things we can control that we know have no real benefits and don’t make us feel good (about ourselves) and actively opt in to the things that do make us feel good about ourselves, as that is the benefit.
My favorite possible self writes another blog post in approximately one week! My mantra says I follow through, so I must! See you there!
