Happy Week 21! Happy Memorial Day and day off (for all of us who could/opted in to observe). It’s the official start of summer, the moment so many of us have been waiting for. The only question on my mind is, will we rise to the occasion and take on summer the way we said we would when we were frozen over by the tundra that was the long winter?

Give yourself a summer goal. Even though it doesn’t technically start for another month, we all know it unofficially starts now. The 100 (or so) days from Memorial Day to Labor Day is a set amount of time of the perfect length to start something new, dig in to something you’re interested in, or finish up a longstanding project. It sounds like a long time but also, it’s a very short time. Too short a time. Short enough that it’s manageable because, the time is going to pass either way. And my new favorite thing to ask is: “what’s going to make you feel proud?” So, come Labor Day, what would you be proud to say you did? And whatever the answer is, do that.

😏 Unrelated Musings
As a lifelong NYer, I must say: GO KNICKS! I should be a bigger fan. I haven’t watched them all season but I love the buzz around town (social media) I see. I grew up watching the games with my dad, some in person where I’d eat as many chicken tenders as possible, and I love knowing that, in recent years, they’ve gotten good enough (again) for my dad to be into it. There’s something about being an adult and seeing your parents enjoying themselves…
My favorite possible self writes another blog post in approximately one week! My mantra says I follow through, so I must! See you there!
