A Lil About Me

I’m a psychotherapist, certified personal trainer, a (soon to be) app creator, and some more titles and letters that say little about who I am. I’m more than my titles, like you’re more than yours.

My interest in social work and psychotherapy started long before I knew what it was. I was that kid that consumed Bug Juice, Real World/Road Rules, True Life, Behind The Music, Intervention, Celebrity Rehab, and other “reality tv” shows before it was a genre and Real Housewives and Basketball Wives reshaped the game (and it was downhill ever since!). And I watched all that around my practice and training schedule- being a gymnast and cheerleader built the foundation for an appreciation of what a body could do and how it can restore more than just itself. All that to say, I’ve always been curious about people, how they live, how they move, and how they cope, and thankfully, I learned I could be someone who helps people make their lives… better. My life’s work is about helping people reconnect with their agency, strengthen their self-awareness, and show up for themselves in sustainable ways- this goes for me too.

My life outside of this career looks a lot like creating, connecting, and community. I might be on a walk, in the gym (and begrudgingly running), writing at a cafe like an authoress, grubbing at a restaurant like a foodie, learning at a social-educational event, singing too loudly in the shower (best acoustics!), dancing wildly in a class or in the street, cozying under my weighted blanket for tv time, or traveling to see smiles, but I’m always in pursuit of laughter and joy and sharing good good feelings, even and especially in the therapy rooms, in the gym, and on the interwebs.

Oh, and I really love hearts ♥️
