Hi + Hello
And just like that, we had another full week! My favorite moment this week was “sleeping in” (til 8a lol) on Friday. I found myself with a very full training and therapy schedule Monday to Thursday with bits of reprieve here and there. Thankfully, the reprieve came in full Friday morning, which was a great set up for the acupuncture I scheduled for that day. Too bad a rogue fly made relaxing very challenging. I guess he just wanted a little care too.

🔧 Tips, Tricks, and Tidbits
We’re revisiting this but… being that it’s fall and back to school time, if you’re like me, you’ve decided to change your whole life starting Sept 2 using all the confidence! (Not Sept 1, that’s Labor Day.) Listing the goals is one thing, but making them SMART - specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound - is another. This makes the goals very clear vs very flexible. As an example, it turns “I want to save more money” 👉🏾 “I will save $50 each week for the next 4 months.” This way, you’ll know exactly what “more” is and when you’ll take that action towards the successful completion of that goal.

😏 Unrelated Musings
Shout out to me for treating myself with… the Oura ring. I’m typically a late adopter and I don’t consider this any different. I’d heard good things about how it tracks sleep and heart rate and what not, but what pushed me over the edge was hearing that, by tracking temperature, it alerted a wearer of impending sickness! And guess who doesn’t have time to get sick? ME! (Would’ve been helpful during that Legionnaire’s crisis in my building but per the board, we’re officially negative again.) So, I placed my order and now I check the efficiency of my sleep - apparently it’s “good” - and other details that I don’t “need” to know every day. But more than that, even if my bank account is not impressed, I’m glad I’m investing in getting to know myself better and betterer.
