Greetings from impending vacation! I’m grateful for the opportunity to take time off, to get away, and to spend time with my family. Last week, we were sadly reminded that even on vacation, life is both fragile and precious. My goal is to keep that top of mind and to enjoy and find joy in the time and the life I have.

🔧 Tips, Tricks, and Tidbits

More on reality testing… it is defined as your ego’s ability to distinguish between your internal thoughts, feelings, and fantasies, and the external objective reality. In other words, it’s your brain’s attempt and ability to tell the difference between what’s actually happening and what your mind is imagining, exaggerating, or fearing. Practicing this skill can help us orient to facts and respond in kind rather than respond to something we made up.

📖 Unrelated Musings

Did you know… Pusha T and Malice (just learned his name) are not twins. Yea, I definitely knew that too. I listened to the new album. I need a few more listens before I decide on a favorite song. (The song I like the most was a “playing recommendation” from Spotify and not actually on the album lol…whoops!) Anyway, lots of acronyms. Lots of men- not a woman in sight. I’ll take my time on that 2nd and 3rd listen. The Malice memes are funny though (*looks up chrome hearts*).
